How do Instagram and TikTok Escrows Work?

Transfer of Login Details

Instagram and TikTok Escrows work through the transfer of Login Details, which is facilitated on Fameswap. Do not give the logins to the buyer outside of Fameswap or through email. When the Buyers funds are received, the Seller will be prompted to provide the logins on the Fameswap Escrow Details Page.

Original Email

Instagram accounts must be transferred along with the OG email (Email that was used to create the account), in order to ensure that the Buyer will be able to secure the account and have full control. Having the OG email part of the transaction is only optional for TikTok accounts. 

2FA

For both social media types, the Seller must disable any 2FAs on the account before providing the logins to the Buyer.

Escrow Steps for Instagram and TikTok:

1. The Buyer is required to submit an offer over $100 on the Fameswap listing.

2. Seller is required to toggle "Accept Escrow" when creating their listing.

3. The Seller will accept the buyer's offer and initiate Escrow by pressing the “Start Escrow” button on the offers page.

4. Buyer and Seller must then agree to Fameswap Escrow terms and fees.

5. Next, the Buyer needs to fund the escrow, by sending a Wire Transfer to our Escrow account or by Crypto (Fameswap Balance).

6. Once the funds are received in our Escrow account, the seller is notified to provide the required listing information on Fameswap Escrow.

7. Once information by the Seller is verified for accuracy, it is passed on to the Buyer for approval.

8. The Buyer will have 3 days to review the account and mark the Escrow complete (or start a dispute). When the escrow is in "complete" status the seller will be able to add their payout details.
9. After the Escrow is complete, a confirmation email will be sent out to the buyer. To speed up the payout process for the Seller, the Buyer must reply to our email and confirm that the account(s) is fully in its possession.
